There seems to be some dispute appearing on the forums regarding the usefulness of [Enchant Boots - Tuskarr's Vitality] compared to Icewalker. Personally I am firmly in the [Enchant Boots - Tuskarr's Vitality] camp, but thought I would go into a little more depth.

Here is a rundown of Balance druid talents. It's about the only gap I've missed so far, simply because there's a whole lot of typing involved. After having to explain it to a few more people though that just don't seem to get why Natures Reach is so valuable, here is the rundown. I'll be covering the range issue more later on. For endgame raiding Moonkin that have read articles elsewhere there won't be any real surprises here, this is aimed at newer Moonkin that may not know why some talents should be picked over others.

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, blah blah blah. Christmas time again and a problem is once again upon us. While we see our restoration bretheren decorated by all people in Azeroth*, the fate of us Moonkin at this time of year is far less bright.

Gear selection crosses every players mind in one form or another as soon as their first mob drops a new piece of armour. As you level the decisions are usually pretty simple, however when you get to an endgame situation deciding what gear to use can often be tricky.

Updates updates updates! I've just gone through and checked the old posts for any updates for 3.3 in preperation for tomorrow. Mostly they still remain accurate. The only significant update is a modification to the recommended minor glyphs in Moonkin glyph selection. I have moved the Glyph of the Wild up to being a good second glyph, leaving the choice between Glyph of Dash and Glyph of Typhoon for the final slot. This is due to the 2 piece tier 10 bonus.

It's almost time to venture forth into a new tier of content and there have been a few changes to Balance Druids. Here is a roundup of the changes. I'll post up again once 3.3 is live with updates to all my previous information to make it accurate for 3.3.

The choices of glyphs for druids has remained largely unchanged for a long time now. Insect Swarm and Starfall glyphs have traded blows, but with the advent of 3.3.3 with the Starfall Armageddon, Glyph of Starfall is the clear winner. For the full rundown of glyphs, read on.

The global cooldown (GCD) in World of Warcraft is 1.5 seconds with a hard cap of 1 second (if you have enough Haste). You can not trigger spells more often than this hard cap. Triggering a spell (usually) involves the GCD being started, and the client stops you sending another message to the servers previous to the 1 second hard GCD cap. If your GCD is higher than 1.5 seconds (a soft haste-capped druid will have a GCD of approximately 1.25-1.3 seconds), then a message can be sent to the server at any point after 1 second.
